Welcome to random thunks and photographs
So far, this website has been used for photographs only - I keep having cunning ideas about putting useful things that I've learned on here, but once I've learned it, I'm usually off trying to learn something else - not very good at the hanging round and contemplating what I've learned option, but never mind - I will try to put other things on here that people might find useful.

Jude's acquired a digital camera and has gone all arty! So there are a variety of different photographs online - all the new ones have been nicely setup with a program called DigiKam
Meanwhile, have a look at this prayer guide as
something useful (acquired from the amazon.com website (I think!)).
Thought for the day
(from Selwyn Hughes book, "The Divine Gardener")
Another circumstance of temporary deprivation and loss which God may bring about in the pruning process is enforced inactivity.
I should point out, of course, that some inactivity is due to indisposition or other reasons, but what I am talking about here is
the inactivity that comes because God has seemingly shut us up for a period of silence, where we appear to have no definite task to
do for Him. sometimes our lives are so full of unprofitable activity that God has to put us on His unemployment list
so that we have
time to listen to what He has to say to us. The temporary periods of being laid aside, of finding yourself without a task to do for
him, are sometimes part of His pruning purposes. If you are in such a condition at this moment, then it is important that you come
before the Lord to find out the reasons for this enforced inactivity.
Many of us become involved in endless activity in the Church and take up every task given to us because it provides us with an escape
route from our primary responsibilities. And what are they? Daily contact with God through prayer and the reading of His Word. If you don't
have time for that, then you are far busier than God wants you to be. There are many things in your life and mine, as we have been seeing, upon
which we tend to lean heavily - success, money, friends, family, position. They may not be wrong, but they become crutches which weaken our
moral fibre. We depend upon them too much. Then something happens and they are taken away. At first we are stunned and crushed. Our
crutches are gone - what's left? Why, our feet and our backbones, and the grace of God!
